'INSTRUCTABLES' MAKERS SPACE - "THE LAMP"

Location: Church Street, Cambridge, MA

The aim of this makerspace design is to not only to promote collaboration, community, and connections, but to also implement a progression of programmatic space and activities throughout the building. This would begin with research, continue with the creative process and the production and fabrication of projects, and end in an exhibition of the work. This space is intended to be a hub for creativity in the Harvard area. It is as much of a workspace as a public exhibition space with very open upper floor plans to allow for a light, open environment. This is implemented through the rotating mass, void spaces and light mass timber design.

Partners: Devlin Kenny, Chris Mok
